James S. Green, Sr. is admitted to practice in Delaware and Pennsylvania state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He has tried more than 100 cases to verdict and has participated as an advocate, arbitrator or mediator in well over 200 alternate dispute resolution proceedings. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has also been elected as a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Green is a charter member of the Delaware Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”) and served on its National Board from 1991 to 1999. James S. Green, Jr. concentrates his practice in the area of business and corporate litigation.  His practice also extends to all areas of business litigation, including bankruptcy and patent litigation, and first-chair trial experience in the Delaware District Court, the Delaware Bankruptcy Court, and Delaware state courts. Mr. Green regularly appear before federal and state courts in Delaware representing a range of clients, as lead counsel and Delaware counsel, including: Delaware corporations and limited liability companies, financial institutions, bankruptcy debtors, trustees, and committees, as well as officers, directors, and shareholders involving matters of Delaware corporate jurisprudence, receiverships in the Court of Chancery, and local and national Delaware business entities.  He has extensive experience resolving discovery issues, including promoting efficiencies of complex e-discovery and managing multi-party and third-party discovery.

Mr. Green is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Delaware Chapter, the Delaware State Bar Association, and he actively participates and has had leadership positions in the American Bar Association, Business Litigation Section; the American Bankruptcy Institute, Litigation Section; and the Richard S. George H. Seitz, III, a native of Wilmington, graduated from the University of Virginia in 1971. He served as an officer in the United States Army Field Artillery. He began his legal carrier as a law clerk for the Delaware Supreme Court. He then served as a Deputy Attorney General and was later appointed to the position of Chief Prosecutor trying numerous felony and capital murder cases during the 1970’s. He was appointed Chief Deputy Attorney General in 1976 representing the interests of the Office of Attorney General before the Delaware General Assembly and in major official misconduct investigations. He has tried numerous cases in the state and federal courts in a wide variety of areas. He also has represented clients in environmental cleanup proceedings overseen by the EPA or Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environment Control. He has served as a mediator and arbitrator in resolving numerous civil disputes.

He is a charter member of the Delaware chapter of the American Board of Trial Attorneys and has served as it Secretary/Treasurer since its inception.
